Lincoln being an American origin, its vintage history holds special respect. The Lincoln Nautilus remains unchanged for 2021. The 2021 Lincoln Nautilus is the blend of the spacious and opulent interior, an eye-luring exterior, futuristic infotainment, advanced safety features that fulfill all the expectations a car lover has.

The Nautilus is the spiritual successor to the Lincoln MKX but it’s more or less a heavily facelifted vehicle and not a new platform from the ground up. The new Lincoln Nautilus wears a more gorgeous exterior design compared to MKX. Though the interior design and the infotainment arrangement might remind you about MKX. It is available in 3 trims Standard, Reserve, Black Label. The standard model starts at $41k while the price of top trim sits at a whopping to $64k.

Under the hood of Lincoln Nautilus is a 2.0-liter Inline 4-cylinder engine that puts out a respectable 250hp via an 8-speed automatic transmission. The powerful engine performance is managed with improved stability and outstanding braking performance. Nautilus has received a 5/5 in crash rating, but it is not considered as robust as other SUVs in its segment.

What’s New with the 2021 Lincoln Nautilus?

2021 Lincoln Nautilus will remain largely unchanged from the 2019 model, so you won’t see any noteworthy changes in the exterior and interior design. It almost resembles the 2020 model in all aspects including infotainment, safety features, and interior storage spaces.

What’s the Expected Price and Release Date of the 2021 Lincoln Nautilus?

Based on the previous releases it is estimated that the 2021 Lincoln Nautilus will be launched in the fall of 2020. The expected price of Lincoln Nautilus standard is $41040 while the top trim will cost you near about $64795.

What to expect from the engine department of 2021 Lincoln Nautilus?

The gorgeous Lincoln Nautilus is fitted with a 2.0-liter Inline 4-cylinder engine which is capable of generating 250hp and a huge 280 lb-ft torque. The 2021 model is powered by the same engine configurations as of 2020.

The powerful engine with the help of an 8 Speed Automatic Transmission delivers a smooth ride experience. Lincoln offers both FWD and AWD drivetrain to fulfill your needs accordingly. With the powerful 2.0-liter engine, Lincoln attains 0-60mph within 6.8 seconds, the powerful engine along with lightweight body allows it to obtain a top speed of 140mph which is quite impressive for an SUV.

If you crave for more powerful engine performance, Lincoln offers you a 2.7-liter turbocharged engine with Black Label trim outputting 335hp and 380 lb-ft torque, amazing isn’t it?

Compared to others, the engines found in the Lincoln Nautilus and Volvo X60 are the best at delivering punchy performance. With 250hp Nautilus covers quarter-mile within 15.3 seconds. Lincoln Nautilus and Volvo XC60 deliver a top speed of 140mph better than Lexus RX and Infiniti QX60. Volvo X60 being intelligently engineered has an upper edge in engine performance compared to Lincoln, it takes only 5.4 seconds for Volvo XC60 to achieve a 0-60 mph milestone.

How will the 2021 Lincoln Nautilus handle?

Nautilus is the luxurious mini SUV sizzled with the American flavor. The spacious interior dimensions and premium quality leather seats offer a soothing ride. The leather steering wheel provided with an easy cruise control setup offers a delightful driving experience.

The strut-type suspension absorbs the bumps and jerks during off-road conditions. The 12.3-inch digital cluster helps to supervise engine performance, drive modes, and other settings. With many advanced safety features like ABS, traction control and emergency braking Nautilus allows drivers to be more confident throughout the ride.

How many miles to the gallon will the 2021 Lincoln Nautilus deliver?

Looking vividly into the fuel economy numbers, Lincoln Nautilus offers an impressive economy with 21mpg in city and 26mpg on highways almost the same as of its rivals. But, considering the remarkable performance, Nautilus justifies its fuel consumption. Similar to the engine specifications and chassis the fuel efficiency of 2021 Nautilus is the same as the 2020 model.

The more fascinating twist in the fuel economy department is, Nautilus Black Label trim owning a 2.7-liter engine resulting in 335hp shares almost the same economy as standard trim. The fuel tank capacity of Nautilus has 18.4 gallons which are sufficient for a compact SUV.

All the cars offer more or less similar fuel economy. But Lincoln Nautilus and Volvo XC60 should be admired for delivering powerful engine performance and responsive gas pedal within the same range of fuel efficiency.

Volvo XC60 with its clever forced induction technology makes it a more frugal option than the Nautilus. Volvo XC60 impresses us more considering the engine performance which is tremendous for a vehicle of this segment. The 2021 Nautilus had a chance to improve the fuel economy numbers to attract global attention, but Lincoln failed to convert this opportunity.

What can you expect from the interior of 2021 Lincoln Nautilus?

2021 Lincoln Nautilus is the next iteration of the 2020 model. So, there will be no significant change in the dimensions and features it offers. Lincoln Nautilus offers a spacious interior with opulent cabin experience and a comfortable seating arrangement.

The dashboard in this Lincoln is covered with soft touching materials and exclusive leather. It offers ample cabin space with the larger head and legroom allowing the taller passengers to feel comfortable on longer journeys. Lincoln offers a premium quality leather upholstery along with 22-way motion adjustable seats which feels like paradise to the driver.

Along with spacious seating arrangement, Lincoln Nautilus offers enough internal storage with the Illuminated glove-box, front and rear cupholders, bottle holders, and 2 backseat storage pockets. Lincoln Nautilus is equipped with a 12.3-inch digital cluster which is useful for displaying a lot of information be it driving-related or media info from the infotainment.

Compared to others, Lincoln Nautilus offers a comfortable and supple interior with a spacious cabin and attractive infotainment. Comparing dimensions, Infiniti QX60 scores slightly more than the Lincoln, but considering overall splendidness of the interior, Lincoln tops the list. Volvo XC60 marginally lags in the interior dimension segment offering mediocre space compared to its rivals.

In the parameter of trunk space, Lincoln Nautilus holds the monopoly. With the 37.2 cubic feet of trunk space, Lincoln is miles ahead to its fellow competitors. The 2nd largest trunk space is offered by Lexus RX which is almost half of the Lincoln. Without a doubt, Lincoln is the king of an interior segment.

2021 Lincoln Nautilus: Infotainment and Connectivity

After the engine capabilities, the 2nd crush of modern car enthusiasts is the infotainment features a car provides. Lincoln Nautilus by the hierarchy has the same infotainment features as the 2020 model. Lincoln Nautilus has an 8-inch touchscreen mounted on the center of the dashboard.

The standard features like Android Auto, Apple car-play are integrated within infotainment along with enhanced voice recognition to provide a better user experience. Along with the responsive touchscreen, all the necessary control buttons are provided on the dashboard to manage the infotainment features.

Lincoln is aware of people’s love for music. It provides a total of 13-speakers and a subwoofers package to offer you an extraterrestrial music experience. Other than music you can browse videos, use navigation maps, and do other stuff on infotainment.

Will there be any changes to the exterior of the new 2021 Lincoln Nautilus?

Lincoln Nautilus is the extension of MKX launched in 2019. Before 2019 Lincoln MKX was dull in exterior looks but fortunately Lincoln upgraded the exterior in Nautilus and the 2021 model resembles the 2020 model.

Nautilus’ standard trim offers 18-inch aluminum-painted alloy wheels while the top-end trim Black Label provides a 21-inch ultra-bright machined alloy wheels. Wider front and rear lamps along with extended hood give Nautilus an alien look. Nautilus offers a ground clearance of 7.9-inches which is sufficient for most of the off-road conditions.

Since these SUVs belong to the same segment, they have similar overall dimensions, although Infiniti QX60 had an upper-hand with maximum length and height. In terms of ground clearance, Volvo XC60 again evolves as the majesty of the SUV kingdom. Notably, being the same in dimension Lincoln has the least Curb weight making it more agile.

Lincoln Nautilus followed by Volvo XC60 offers 2nd best ground clearance. Infiniti with only 6.5-inch ground clearance will probably struggle on certain off-road sections.

Is 2021 Lincoln Nautilus worth money and time?

Lincoln with the authentic American flavor is one of the most alluring SUVs in terms of exterior and interior finesse. Along with that, it offers potent engine performance with a satisfactory fuel economy. But without a doubt, Volvo XC60 is better in almost all aspects compared to Lincoln Nautilus. XC60 takes only 5.4 seconds to reach 0-60mph highlighting the engine capabilities. Considering the safety parameter Volvo X60 is one of the safest SUVs after Land Rover. Considering the superiority of Volvo XC60 the first buy preference goes to XC60 and then to Lincoln Nautilus.
