Jaguar has been a little light-footed in the luxury car segment, a tad late in bringing the updates to the car. The brand is still going strong clubbed with the Land Rover brand under the reigns of Tata. The XF is in its second generation since it was launched a decade ago. It’s elder sister XJ, hasn’t changed at all. Building good products anyway, Jaguar is holding its paws in the market.

The 2021 Jaguar XF Sedan will be the latest model of this mid-size luxury car produced by Jaguar currently in its second generation. With its impressive on-road performance and comfortable and luxurious interiors, the Jaguar XF Sedan has been a customer's vehicle since it's facelift back in 2011.

It's a new model, the 2021 Jaguar XF Sedan is rumored to have some major updates and maybe even a total facelift. This is keeping most of the car enthusiasts excited regarding the release of the upcoming vehicle.

What's new with the 2021 Jaguar XF?

  • Significant updates on the exterior front and revised interiors
  • New technology and infotainment features
  • An all-new Diesel engine
  • Updated lighting elements
  • Revised front and rear bumpers
  • Might be a generation change

Expected price and release date of the 2021 Jaguar XF

The official date of release has not been out yet. Although the disguised prototype of the sedan was recently spied in Sweden. Due to the facelift that the car is going, we can expect a significant price hike from its $51,100 in the model of the year 2021. Likewise the release date, no leads have been observed in the expected price of the upcoming model.

What to expect in the engine department of the 2021 Jaguar XF?

The 2020 Jaguar XF offered three powertrains, a 247-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder, a 296-horsepower turbo-four, and a 380-horsepower supercharged V6 engine with 8-speed shiftable automatic transmission.

The specific powertrain of the 2021 Jaguar XF Sedan has not been revealed yet but rumor has it that the company might try to fit in it’s newly developed 3.0-liter inline-six engine in the new model. Comparison based on its 2020 model is presented below to give an idea of how its predecessor stood in front of the competitors.

The performance of 2020 Jaguar XF was very well compared with its competitors. The power, torque, 0-60 mph, and quarter-mile timing figures lack behind when compared to Audi A6 and BMW 5 series. More expensive trims have powerful engine options and better performance which even defeat these competitors. The 2021 model with its new upgrades will prove itself to be a fierce rival to cars like Audi A6, BMW 5 series, Mercedes E-class sedan.

How well does Jaguar XF Sedan handle?

Jaguar has maintained its reputation in excellent ride and handling. Equipped with four-wheel independent suspension and front and rear stabilizer bar the 2020 Jaguar XF Sedan gave the most comfortable and easy ride experience to its driver. Jaguar’s Lightweight Aluminium Architecture facilitates a near-perfect 50:50 balance, supporting an agile and precise drive.

The XF's Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS) offers outstanding feedback, control, and immediate power assistance. The new 2021 Jaguar XF Sedan is undergoing a major facelift hence not a lot could be said about its ride and handling features yet. But it could be said with surety that the new model will continue the legacy of Jaguar's driver satisfactory handling and ride experience.

What kind of fuel efficiency to expect from the 2021 Jaguar XF?

The 2020 Jaguar XF had a very impressive fuel economy. It allowed 23, 31, and 26 miles per gallon in city, highway, and combined. These figures stood strong when compared with its rivals. It has the best fuel economy in comparison with Mercedes E-class sedan, BMW 5 series, and Audi A6.

Fuel economy of the upcoming model isn't revealed yet and we could expect decent behavior from the 2021 Jaguar XF in this sector too. But it is expected to deliver a good mileage for the segment. We wouldn’t be surprised if it becomes the most fuel-efficient model in the price bracket.

Vehicle-optimized InControl Apps, such as Spotify, through XF’s Touchscreen using a USB connection to your Apple or AndroidTM smartphone, allow you to have control over the infotainment and entertainment systems of your car in your palm.

The MeridianTM Surround Sound System 2 (825 W) comes with 16 speakers and a dual-channel subwoofer makes your music or radio experience much more entertaining.

There has been no information out regarding the infotainment and entertainment systems of the 2021 Jaguar XF sedan yet. There have been no rumors regarding any major updates in the infotainment and entertainment sector of the car so there's a good enough possibility of the 2021 model using the same features as its predecessor.

Will there be any changes to 2021 Jaguar XF's exterior?

There will surely be a drastic change in the exterior designs of the upcoming 2021 Jaguar XF sedan. During the sneak peek spy photos of the upcoming model in Sweden, the car was wearing a lot of camouflage like all the other testing vehicles but some noticeable changes were seen.

Some of them include revised lighting in front and back, in addition to a new front fascia, some small changes to the trunk lid. The new facelifted model becomes more exciting with all these rumors and sneak peeks going on around the automobile enthusiasts.
