The first images of the 2021 Hyundai Elantra were released on March 10th this year. The vehicles show aggressive and edgy appeal based on parametric textures and shapes. The live world premiere of this all-new model is going to happen today at 7 p.m. PT at The Lot Studios situated in West Hollywood, California.
Before that, Hyundai Motor released a preview video with the upcoming trims from different angels. Interested people can view the teaser on the official website of HyundaiNews and social media channels of Hyundai USA.
The design and appeal of the upcoming 2021 Hyundai Elantra, as visible in the video, showcases the polyhedral appearance promised by the manufacturer. Additionally, the company even boasts of the Parametric Dynamics design under the model. Other rivals mostly avoid these designs in their segment.

Therefore, we can say that this upcoming Hyundai Motor trim will disrupt the thinking and design of models in its class. The company is replacing the “Sensuous Sportiness” design theme for this car with the “Parametric Dynamics” theme.
As per the exterior sketches & pictures released by the manufacturer, we can expect a new design for LED headlights, chrome cascading grille, T-shaped LEDs on its rear linked with the LED bar, and two-tone alloy wheels. In addition to the exteriors, the all-new and yet-to-be-launched Elantra showcases driver-focused interiors that enhance the driving experience.
A few features are visible between the front passenger and driver seat doors. The depicted central console in the images boasts an extensive interface that incorporates two connected and integrated display systems. Additional features that might be visible in today’s live premier stream video include an aircraft-style gear lever, four AC vents, different feature buttons on the dashboard, and an LED lightbar, among others.
Moreover, the four-spoke steering wheel of the vehicle appears to be similar to the recently launched Sonata. The seat also seems to be identical to lighter shades and separates it from the dark dashboard. Expected driver assistance features such as lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot detection, etc. that are present in the existing models are also expected in the upcoming models.
We are sure that the upcoming trims will also bear a few similarities in comparison to the recently launched trims. The new and forthcoming coupe will have 2.0-liter petrol and 1.5-liter diesel BS6 compliant engines. We are also expecting a six-speed manual transmission or standard DCT for basic trims and a 1.4 turbocharged engine for the limited edition petrol variant.
The three turbocharged engines in the present model generate 128, 147, and 201 horsepower (hp). You can expect the same or higher hp from the upcoming models. As per the images, we can also figure out that the forthcoming model is lengthier and broader than the existing trims.
The interior features and the edgy appeal of the vehicle make it appear like a sports car. Reports suggest the car will be available to buy by September 2020. The upcoming model will compete with Honda City, VW Passat, Skoda Superb, and Skoda Octavia in terms of engine, price, features, warranty, and other capabilities.
We are presently unsure whether the launch of this model will bring about the future of GT hatchback trims proposed by the manufacturer. Reports also suggest that the design for the upcoming 2021 Elantra is similar to the recently styled European market i30s.
We presume that the launch of the GT trims might be done alongside the launch of the 2021 trims and might start sales in the US market along with the same trim. Stay tuned for more updates on Hyundai Motor and its vehicles.
