The new 2020 Wrangler comes equipped with a long list of features. The Wrangler is mainly offered in 4 trim levels Sport, Sport S, Rubicon & Sahara. The 2 Door versions are available in all the Sport, Sport S and Rubicon trims and the Unlimited 4 door version also comes with the Sahara spec. Though, regardless of the trim, all the doors and roofs can still be removed in all the Wranglers.
The entire range is offered with a 3.6L V6 engine though you can also avail the mild hybrid E-Torque assist system in the Sahara. The users can also opt for a 2.0L turbocharged Inline 4 cylinder engine in almost all the specs and for the Sahara, you can also get the E-Torque assist. The Jeep Wrangler is a workhorse and can be used in any environment that follows. The Base model, Sport, comes as standard with 17-Inch steel wheels and new foglamps. But with the Sport S model, the unlimited 4-Door version can also be availed.
The 2.0L 4 Cylinder engine comes with an 8-Speed automatic transmission as standard, pitting out 270 horses and 295 lb-ft torque. The Wrangler does maintain its versatility. It gives you a very commanding position on the road and has ultimate capabilities when you lose the track.

What We Recommend
When compared to its rivals, the Toyata 4Runner and the Range Rover Evoque, the 3.6L V6 power plant beneath the hood of the Wrangler, gives it the maximum power among the trio and proves to be the best value for money at being the lowest in price as well. Keeping in mind the performance and price of the vehicle, the Sport version has the same power as the Rubicon but Rubicon posses a lot more off road abilities along with a ton of added features for a daily use. So Rubicon version can be the vehicle of choice.
As standard, the 2020 Wrangler is offered with a 3.6L V6 Engine generating 285 horses @ 6400 revs and a massive 26 lb-ft torque at 4800 revs. The company however has alao introduced a 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine and a 3.0L Ecodeisel engine, that can be availed Sport trim as well. Sahara trim however can be accomodated with any of the three powerplants on the table.

As compared with its arch rivals, the Wrangler does not let you down on any fronts. Be it power, looks or price. The Jeep with its flamboyant styling, amazing capabilities and ultimate utility, surpasses the toyota 4Runner with ease. The Evoque, being a Range Rover does have good off road capabilities but parked besides this beast, the Jeep, it does not have that panache. The Jeep has more character to support its capabilities.
While a Standstill to 62 MPH is acheived in 6.7 seconds, it really seems irrelevant for a car of these specs. But again the behemoth of an engine residing under that hood, generates a whopping 260 lb-ft of torques @ 4800 revs and makes sure that you are not the odd one out in your mates. Bring on a fast SUV of this size, and then the Jeep will show you that for an SUV, these numbers are actually mind bogling.

The unpresedented accleration of the Wrangler makes it almost 1 and half seconds faster than its rivals which in car world can be counted as an year. The toyota has the biggest engine out of the trio but the Jeep simply creams the toyota in a drag.
Though with the new and improved components under the hood, the handling has improved as compared to the outgoing version but it still handles like a truck when compared to the other modern day SUV’s. Off the road is where the Wrangler trully comes alive. With its big 17-inch wheels, it can tackle any terrain with more than enough ground clearance still at its disposal.
The Wrangler gets a heavy duty suspension system and steady front and rear axles, climbing boulders and big rocks is just a walk in the park. The Wrangler also gets good entry and departure angles to ease out the angular climbing and descent.
Combine big power reserves with exceptional ground clearance, a very intuitive 4X4 system and a short wheelbase, you get one of the best off-roaders on the market today. The Jeep Wrangler is a brand in itself. The Range Rover Evoque gets a fair amount of toys to play with while off-roading but the sense of ease while you are at it, is the best in the Wrangler.
For a full size off-roader, the Wrangler comes equipped with a 11.9-inch ventilated disc brakes in all the four corners and ABS & EBD as standard throughout the range. The brakes do perform well when put to test in off-road conditions.

As compared to its rivals, the Jeep has the maximum stopping distance i.e. 128 ft as it is equipped with the smallest disc brakes. But please do not worry about it. The Jeep gives you a very commanding position while you are driving and a very good view from the cockpit so you really do not get into trouble that often.
When we talk about the fuel economy, the Jeep is not the best vehicle to go green. The Jeep is purposely built a full-size off-roader that wants to make sure that you are not stuck anywhere. However, despite its size among its rivals, the Wrangler does manage a decent mileage of 17/23/19 (City/Highway/Combined). It is surely not a green car but considering all the factors, this is a rather small price to pay.

In the case of the average fuel economy, the Evoque with the smallest engine in the segment does manage a brilliant economy i.e. 24 MPG combined (city & highway).
New interiors were introduced in the outgoing model of the Wrangler, the 2019 model year. With a blend of premium materials, the big off-roader keeps you safe inside. There is ample legroom, headroom and a very big boot. The 2020 Wrangler can also be stripped to its bare bones as all the doors and roof can be removed just by a small set of tools, provided by Jeep.

As compared to its rivals, the Toyota and the Range Rover, the Wrangler give you the largest legroom for both the front and the rear. The Jeep also gets the biggest size among the three and the driving position is very commanding so you get a really good view of the place that you are going.
All the trims except the Sports base trim, get a 7 inch touchscreen infotainment display in the center with an optional 8.4-inch screen option available. As a part of being modern with retro styling the Jeep can be connected via Apple Car Play or Android Auto and this is standard throughout.
The infotainment is very straightforward and very easy to use. This adds to the utilitarian part of the 2020 Wrangler. The Sport trim however comes with a 5-inch display screen as standard. The infotainment is powered by the 4th generation of the U-Connect system which responds well and makes life a bit more easier for the driver.
The concept of the Wrangler is to keep the essence of the first generation Willy’s Jeep while giving you all the latest tech to play around with. The old design pattern does rob the Wrangler from the boot space but the Unlimited version does provide you with a very large boot. The utilitarian looks and boxy design does look good but does take away a few points from the practicality.

The classic Wrangler design does rob you from space as the rear seats also don’t drop completely linear to the floor. As compared to the Unlimited version, the new 4 door structure helps you to fit in a lot more cargo.
The next field that Jeep aces after its off road capabilities are the looks. The Wrangler still gets the classic shape from the WWII model but with a lot of modernized touches. You get the essence of the icon but you still feel that the car belongs to the 21st century. With LED headlamps, a bit aerodynamic design and 18-inch wheels, you get the proper character of the Willy’s. The car does grab a lot of attention on the streets and you will be amazed by its fan following as the people just want that look.

As compared to its rivals, the Jeep has a very boxy look. The vehicle as you would imagine does not do very well on the motorways as it is purposely built off-roader. It is an off-roader made functional for the city drive as well.
Many new safety features have been added to the 2020 Wrangler in desperate measures to gain a better image on the safety front from its predecessors. Though the testing has not been completed yet by the federal authorities, still the Wrangler gets a 4 stars in frontal crash and 3 stars in rollover protection. The new Wrangler is equipped with a lot many safety features as standard. IIHS is yet to test the Wrangler 2020 but it surely is well up to par with the standard of Off-road vehicles.
The Toyota is a very close rival to the Jeep mainly because they both get big V6 powerplants. The Toyota gets a 4.0L V6 breathing out 270 HP @ 5600 revs whereas the Jeep with its 3.6L V6 breaths out 285 horses @ 6400 Revs. The Jeep, however, leaves the Toyota trailing behind in when it comes to off-roading as the Jeep is purposely built off-roader.
The Range Rover Evoque does have off-road capabilities, but not in comparison to the Wrangler. The Evoque is a better city car than both the Toyota and Jeep combined but if you are looking for a better off-roader, then Jeep is the best option for you.
The 2020 Jeep Wrangler all in all, is a great big off-roader which gives you the best in class off-road capabilities and remove the doors and roof, you get even more close to nature while at it. The Jeep is solely aimed at the people who are more happy to sleep in the woods rather than being caged in the city. The Jeep brings sheer joy to off-roading and with so many variants available for the year 2020, one can select and customize the vehicle completely to his needs and his desire. There are no limits to creativity. Also with prices starting at just $31,545, the Jeep is the most pocket friendly among its rivals as well.
