The land down under would be surprised if a mammoth size SUV can feel tremendous behind the wheels with almost nil body roll. The 2020 Hyundai Tucson is a great example of one such SUV. Been in the market for quite some time now, the 2020 Tucson can perform your daily driver habits with precision. Although you may need a few more visits to the fuel station, good cargo space and amazing comfort in the cabin make the Tucson a lucrative offering in the market.

The 2020 Hyundai Tucson is offered to patrons in six trim levels: the SE, Value, SEL, Sport, Limited, and Ultimate. A 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, producing 161 hp and 150 lb-ft, commands the lower trim levels. From the SEL upwards, the SUV is hauled along by a 2.4-liter inline-four that generates 181 hp and 175 lb-ft.

The Tucson is well provided no matter which trims you want. The SEL variant hits the delightful spot, as it combines more features at a lower price. You notice features such as dual-zone automatic climate control, a rear-seat USB port and swank exterior styling.
The base variant of the Hyundai Tucson SUV; the Hyundai Tucson SUV SE offers a 2.0L 4cyl engine which can generate 161 hp at 6200 rpm with 150 lb-ft of torque at 4000 pm. On the other hand, the 2.4 liter inline 4 makes 181 hp and makes total torque of 168 lbs./ft. Both of the powertrains comes mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Front-wheel drive is standard on all trims and you can also opt for all-wheel drive. Power delivery is linear and shifts are butter smooth. The base 2.0-liter inline-4 comes at a lower price but the engine feels sluggish. It also drinks more fuel and is just not good enough to pull the vehicle of this size. The turbocharged engine, on the other hand, breathes easy and supply quicker acceleration.

Opponents in the division generate less horsepower with the same engine running the mill. Buick Encore although it has a tiny 1.4 liter inline 4 but offers considerable equal performance specs as the 2020 Nissan Rogue.
Hyundai Tucson base engine feels underpowered and takes 8.8 seconds to go from 0-60 which is quite slow as compared to the Honda CR-V which takes only 7.5 seconds. The CR-V also beats Hyundai heads down in the quarter-mile. It takes only 15.8 seconds in comparison to Tucson’s 16.5 seconds to complete a quarter-mile.

Meanwhile, its competitor Buick Encore loses the competition with the Hyundai Tucson SUV in the acceleration with a score of 9.2 seconds to reach 0-60 MPH which is not much considering its 1.4 l mill. The Nissan Rogue walks beside Tucson in terms of acceleration.
There are reasons to appreciate the South Korean carmakers when it comes to driving dynamics. Tucson’s handling is responsive and nimble and it feels calm on highways. However, driving fanatics may find its dynamics too slow. The car handles the corners well and is relatively quiet over rough city roads.
The improved engine on the 2020 Hyundai Tucson SUV is very powerful and it is always ready to produce all the horsepower you need. The engine is smooth and silent even when the car crosses 60 MPH. The front visibility and the driving, viewing points while driving are pretty good.
The Tucson braking system is well-tuned with plenty of stopping power. Hyundai has equipped it with 4-Wheel Disc brakes and Antilock Braking System (ABS) which comes as standard.
Although offering an 11.9-inch braking system that is almost equal and ahead to its competitors, the car does a good job of breaking and stopping with a stopping distance of 120 feet from 60-0 MPH.

The Nissan Rogue loses in the braking department with a stopping distance of 122 feet followed by Hyundai Tucson with a stopping distance of 118 feet. Nissan Rogue because of lightweight stops fromm 60 mph very pleasantly.
The base 2.0-liter inline-4 and a six-speed automatic with front-wheel drive have an EPA rating of 23/30/26 while the AWD is pegged at 21/26/23. Opponents such as the 2020 Rogue and 2020 Encore works much better when it comes to fuel economy. Rogue can run 25 miles in a gallon of fuel on the city roads while encore can stretch for 24 miles in a gallon of fuel.
Inside there is hard plastic in the cabin on the base model but the quality improves as you move up the trim. The dashboard looks sensible with basic instrumentation and controls within arm’s reach. The controls glow in soft blue lighting at night. There are a lot of buttons and knobs, so you will need to take a glance down if you want to change the radio or adjust the fan speed.
Tucson base offers a six-way-manual seat that you would rather skip and go for the SEL or the SEL Plus which comes with eight-way-power adjustable seat and lumbar support; even the shortest of the driver can sit high and get a good view of the road. There is a generous amount of head and legroom for the passenger sitting in the second row as well.

In terms of expanse, opponents in the syndicate have done a fabulous duty also. With Nissan Rogue being the most spacious one, Encore is the most comfortable of them all too.
The interior features of the 2020 Hyundai Tucson include:
The latest model of the 2020 Hyundai Tucson SUV features an 8-inch touchscreen center stacked infotainment display for navigation in top trim levels. The base variants of the 2017 Hyundai Tucson SUV has a 5-inch infotainment display. The steering wheel includes buttons to communicate with the infotainment system on the SUV.
The sound system on the car provides a delighting music experience and is connected with features like Hyundai Blue Link, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay (Android Auto and Apple CarPlay available only in the top trims options).
Hyundai Tucson does not impress us with its cargo space. It comes with a 60/40-split rear seat, so the cargo area can be expanded from 31 to 61.9 cubic feet which are very less as compared to others in the class.
Hand-free liftgate comes as optional with no button-pushing or foot-waving required, just stand with the proximity key behind the boot and it will do its job.

There are no awkward-looking lines on the new 2020 Hyundai Tucson. It is a sharp-looking compact SUV. It brings to the table the same LED-headlight as used in the Hyundai Santa Fe and Santa Fe Sport. The trapezoidal grille in the front gives it a typical Hyundai crossover look and makes it look bold. Hyundai uses more than 50-percent high strength steel inside its chassis that provide strength and makes the Tucson one of the safest compact SUV.
Tucson draws its inspiration from the Santa Fe, however, its glass area is comparatively small. It looks handsome with the aggressive front end and is definitely a contender for the best dressed. In the top trim, Hyundai adds a 19-inch alloy wheel for a more imposing look.

Admit or not, the 2020 Hyundai Tucson is clearly the fittest looking SUV out of the lot here. It holds a mark of sturdy styling and macho design ingredients all the way within the exteriors.
The exterior features included in the 2020 Hyundai Tucson are:
A five-star overall rating from NHSTA and the IIHS calling a Top Safety Pick makes Tucson one of the safest compact SUV on road. It missed out on a perfect score by NHSTA as it gave a sole 4-start rating for the rollover resistance. IIHS rated the headlight and latch as acceptable, so there is still room for improvement.
The Tucson is reliable too, it gets a 5-year/60,000-mile limited warranty and a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty.
In terms of safety, the 2020 Hyundai Tucson holds its mark with features such as:
Being an originator, the 2020 Hyundai Tucson is no invader in the business. For the price Hyundai command for the Tucson, the highlights it offers are enormous. Aesthetically talking, Tucson is clearly much more pleasing than any other contender in the market.
Priced roughly in the same bracket, both the SUV receives the same engines but the Rogue produces less power than the Tucson. If you are watching for a trusted SUV with chronicle to back it up, Tucson is unmistakably the decision. Get the Rogue for its unique styling.
The Encore may be described as an absolute road companion for an off-roading event but it is miles apart from meaning one. Tucson, on the other hand never agreed on rigidity but what it holds for is what it does best.
A tranquil ride in a cozy cabin with ample cabin space, the 2020 Tucson is well priced and offers a host of features. Get the Tucson and you won't be disheartened.
Hyundai Tucson comes with a headache-free ownership experience in the form of outstanding warranty coverage and excellent test score. The cabin is quiet and spacious along with a user-friendly infotainment system. The South Korean carmakers have not tried to make the Tucson exaggeratedly sporty instead they have emphasized more on its solid built quality and comfort.
