There is not much to mention about the safety of the 2020 Aston Martin DB11 Coupe or any other supercar or that matter. These are mainly built for speed and fun when driving and it is very clear that safety is not a concern for the manufacturers when they build a car like this. This is well known by both the manufacturers and the people who buy this beast as they want the exhilarating driving experience. The 2020 Aston Martin DB11 Coupe has not been rated by NHSTA or IIHS as it is very obvious for a supercar of its pedigree. However, Aston Martin has made sure that they load the 2020 Aston Martin DB11 Coupe with its basic and advanced safety features to the brim to make sure that their customers are safe at all times especially with the speeds that one would do with this beast of a car.
Even though not been crash-tested by either the NHTSA or the IIHS but still comes with Aston Martin's safety features like Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), and lots more. The DB11 comes with a huge list of active and passive safety tech features. Passive safety on the 2020 Aston Martin DB11 Coupe includes dual-stage driver and passenger front airbags along with seat - side airbags. It also has a very stiff chassis with side - impact beams and safety restraint systems for every occupant of the car. This helps in increasing the overall structural integrity, the rigidity of the car, and gives great control to the car. Active safety features available with the DB11 are listed below.
Blind - Spot Monitoring: The DB11 is a very long car and it is not easy to drive the car when on the road especially on the speeds this car will do. So if there is a car in your blind spot while driving, the system alerts the driver by flashing lights on the rearview mirrors. The detection of a car in the blind spot is done with the help of sensors placed on the sides and rear of the car.
Electronic Stability Control : The Electronic Stability Control makes sure that the DB11 does not have any wheel slippage. But the intelligent system from DB11 also makes sure that the driving experience of the car is not affected. The Electronic Stability Control uses a complex list of sensors which helps in monitoring various parameters such as steering angle, wheel slippage, and also alters the ECU to stop or give power to the wheels when needed.
Traction Control : The Traction Control System on the DB11 works in tandem with the Electronic Stability Control to prevent any mistakes that the driver might do when driving. The system has also been specifically tuned by Aston Martin to never intrude in unless there is a serious need for grip which means that the driver can push the DB11 to its limits before the Traction Control System starts to kick in altering the engine's performance.
The 2020 Aston Martin DB11 Coupe though not tested by either the NHTSA or the IIHS has many safety features onboard the supercar to make sure that this supercar is safe. Aston Martin has also worked very hard to make sure that their customers are safe even in case of a serious accident.
